About the Instructor, Jody Williams
"For years, jewelry making has been my creative outlet—a chance to play with color, texture, and design. During the pandemic, I decided it was time to take that passion a little further, and Turquoise Toad Jewelry was hatched!
I’m lucky to call Colorado home, where I live with my husband, three terrific kids, and two Siberian cats. I love being outdoors, whether I’m gardening, hiking, or simply lazing in the hammock watching the clouds drift by. The colors, textures, and natural beauty around me are a constant source of inspiration for my work.
I create jewelry that I genuinely love to wear myself—pieces that are colorful, comfortable, distinctive, and easy to incorporate into everyday life. I work with high-quality glass beads, sterling silver, and semi-precious gemstones, choosing colors and combinations inspired by everything from the brilliance of my garden to the earthy landscapes and wide-open skies of Colorado.
I especially love creating woven glass Tila bead and wrap bracelets. The smooth glass beads have a wonderful feel against the skin, and the woven designs have an almost snakeskin-like texture that makes them as satisfying to touch as they are to wear."
