Argentium Silver Dangle Earrings: May 17, 2:00-5:00

Discover the art of working with Argentium Silver by crafting these stunning earrings from start to finish. In this class, participants will learn how to use a butane torch to create ball wire ends and fuse Argentium wire. Additionally, students will use simple hand tools to make wire-wrapped drops featuring their choice of crystal or gemstone beads. Various design options will be discussed to allow for the creation of personalized and unique earrings.

We will cover:

• Safe use of a butane torch
• Making ball end head pins
• Forming ear wire 
• Fusing Argentium silver wire
• Creating texture 
• Wire-wrapping decorative crystal or gemstone drops

• 3 contact hours, ages 14+ at the Silver Peak Gallery Classroom located at 100 E. Cleveland St. Lafayette 80026
  
• # students: 3 minimum, 6 maximum
• Materials fee is $20 and Argentium silver wire and a selection of crystal and gemstone beads to create one pair of dangle earrings This is due at the beginning of class and payable via cash, check or Venmo direct to instructor.

About the instructor (Daytime session), Kathy Pinover

Kathy is Inspired by the beauty of nature and the craftmanship of vintage and fine jewelry. She learned beading techniques through formal classes and studied metalsmithing at Clear Creek Academy of Jewelry and Metal Arts in Denver. She continues to build upon her skills at Silver Peak Studio. In 2004 she opened her business and since created nearly 2500 uniquely designed and handcrafted pieces sold in galleries, boutiques, shows and online. Her passion is creating handmade beaded chains to which she may add metal-smithed embellishments to create one of a kind artisan jewelry.
